January 19, 2012. Green Valley Genealogical Society, 1 PM to 3 PM at the St. Francis in the Valley Episcopal Church, 600 S. La Cañada Dr., Green Valley.
Main Program: “Collateral and Allied Families” by Edie Sly. If you're up against a brick wall in your research, you'll want to hear how collateral and allied research might help you. Edie has been doing family history research for 25 years, mostly in the Midwest but also in records of Norway, Denmark, and Germany. She has presented various topics for the GVGS, ASGS, Pinal County Genealogists, Sun City Vistoso, Voyager RV Resort, and the Las Cruces (NM) Genealogy Society.
Short Program: Gordon Gray will present “Family Legends and Fables”. Besides being the GVGS Librarian, Gordon is owner of the GrayLine Group LLC, a genealogy and family history research business, and has been active in a number of genealogical societies.
Exciting genealogy items are featured as Door Prizes, Silent Auctions, and Raffles at our meetings. Visitors welcome; refreshments will be served. Contact JoAnn Herbst (396-4630 or email@example.com) for more information.
