Are you searching for your family tree on the web and not
sure where to look? Do you want to learn
how to effectively search through the vast resources on the web to locate
useful information on a select topic? This workshop will
cover how to use the internet for genealogy. We’ll take a
look at some of the more valuable, reliable websites and review strategies for
online research. Participants will have the use of their own
computer during the workshop. Handout included.

genealogist. The library has county
histories, family histories, city directories, research guides, newspaper
microfilms, biographical references, maps, obituary indexes – oh the list just
goes on and on. Join us on a tour to
locate these wonderful resources.

Learn how to use maps and the Global
Positioning System (GPS) in genealogy. Maps
and GPS can provide clues to where your ancestors lived and where to look for
written records about them. GPS technology and maps can enhance your family
history by showcasing migration routes, family events, and family clusters. Handouts
included.
