He's Back! Thomas MacEntee Speaking at FHSA Seminar March 10-11

Did you miss seeing Thomas MacEntee when he was in Green Valley on February 4? Or do you wish you could have seen more of him while he was there? Don't despair! We are getting a Do-Over! The Family History Society of Arizona is bringing him back to southern Arizona and adding a special Friday evening session to the line-up.

The Family History Society of Arizona annual seminar will be held at the Mesa Inter-Stake Center, 830 E. 2nd Avenue, in Mesa, Arizona. Thomas will speak on The 15 Habits of Highly Frugal Genealogists at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017.

The seminar continues on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. with  a new topic that was not presented in Green Valley. The day ends at 2:40 p.m. and includes these 4 topics:

1. Mapping Your Genealogy from A-Z and In-Between
2. After You're Gone: Future Proofing Your Genealogy Research
3. Building a Research Toolkit
4. Genealogy Do-Over^TM: A Year of Learning from Mistakes

Lisa Alzo Speaker for Family History Society of Arizona Seminar March 7th

On Saturday, March 7, 2015, the Family History Society of Arizona (FHSA) will hold our Annual Meeting and Seminar in Fountain Hills, Arizona. The speaker will be Lisa Alzo, who will present topics of interest to family history researchers. This event will be held at the Fountain Hills Community Center, 13001 N. La Montana Dr. Fountain Hills, AZ. Cost is $35.00 for members $40.00 for non members. (includes box lunch)  Ms Alzo will also speak on Friday evening, March 6 at the Granite Reef Senior Center in Scottsdale. The address is 1700 N Granite Reef Road, Scottsdale, AZ. The Family History Society of Arizona's Seminar being held March 15, 2014, features Jean Wilcox Hibben. A Board-Certified genealogist, Jean is the Director of the Corona California Family History Center and is also an occasional volunteer at the Pacific Region Facility of the National Archives in Riverside County. She was the lead researcher for the PBS television program Genealogy Roadshow. Jean is a national speaker known for her entertaining, as well as informative, presentations and is a frequent writer for various genealogy publications.

Time: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm with registration beginning at 8:00 am.
Date: March 15, 2014
Location: First United Methodist Church 5510 N Central, Phoenix, AZ 85012. Cost: $35.00 for FHSA members, $40 for non-members/walk-ins ($5 applied to $20 annual membership dues if you join). Includes a box lunch plus morning continental breakfast snacks. After March 1, everyone pays $40 (lunch not guaranteed).
