Dear Genie to the Rescue

Do you have a question about a genealogy dilemma? Have you hit a stumbling block in your research and don't know what to do next? Well, you may be in luck!

A benefit of membership in the Pima County Genealogy Society is access to our quarterly newsletter, The PCGS Researcher. And one of the segments in that newsletter is "Dear Genie." Genie has hundreds of years of experience in family history research and is excited to use her expertise by answering your questions.

The question should not be in the form of a case study but rather, should be framed as a brief synopsis (not more than 100 words). Genie will not do the research for you, but she will give you ideas of how to proceed.

Simply submit your question to with "Dear Genie" in the subject line. You do not need to sign your name to the question if you wish to remain anonymous. Previous queries were signed by names like Stuck on In-Laws, Curious, and No Y Here.

2017 submission deadlines for the newsletter are below. However, Genie will need some time to draft the answer for your question and submit it by the deadline. Therefore, you should submit your questions at least two weeks before the newsletter deadline.
